Sharon T. Hinton
Sharon T. Hinton (RN, MSN) has more than 20
years experience in nursing. She is the Executive Director and lead
instructor for Rural Nurse Resource INC. Sharon trained as
a parish nurse in 1999, and is the parish nurse for the RNR Community
Outreach Program. She is also the Parish Nurse Consultant for the
General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, and
the Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church Golden
Cross/Parish Nurse Coordinator.
Sharon is a parish nurse educator
through the International Parish Nurse Resource Center, has a Masters
Certificate in Pastoral Studies from St Joseph's College of Maine and
MSN in parish nursing. She is a
published writer and speaks nationally on a wide variety of subjects.
Sharon also writes the Nurse in the
Church column for the Journal of
Christian Nursing.
Sharon lives on the family farm with a very
spoiled
menagerie of dogs, cats, cows, and wildlife.
